Pafos/The area
Where we enjoy.
The short list, not the whole island: the few places we go back to, and point every guest towards.
Beaches
-
Venus Bleu Beach
One of our nearest, a 15 minute walk away along the coastal path - and the one we go back to most. Calm water and an easy swim.
-
Coral Bay
The long sandy sweep, twenty minutes by car and easy for a whole slow day. Direct buses from the TOK station just a 5 minute walk away.
-
Blue Lagoon coves
A day trip, boats depart from Pafos Harbour or Latchi. The clearest water for snorkelling or for an early-morning swim before the heat.
Where we eat
-
Ethos Vin
In the old town. Lovely cooking, an easy room to linger in, and staff who look after you properly.
-
The Lodge
A South African steakhouse, for the evenings when you want something hearty. Some say the best Steakhouse on the island.
-
Mandra Tavern
The village meze we send everyone to, so go hungry.
Harbour & old town
-
Pafos harbour
The medieval fort, fishing boats, a slow evening walk. It is where the locals take their morning swim.
-
Kato Pafos archaeological park
The Roman mosaics are worth the midday heat.
A little further afield: the wild Akamas peninsula for an afternoon, or the cool mountain villages of the Troodos when the coast gets warm. Ask us and we'll point you the right way.
