Your privacy.
We keep this simple. We collect as little as we can, we use it only to host you well and run the apartment, and we never sell it. Here is exactly what that means.
The short version
- We do not track you on this website: no analytics, no advertising cookies.
- The apartment's sensors keep it comfortable and efficient. They notice presence and open windows. They do not record, watch, or listen.
- The only camera is the Ring doorbell at the front door, with its microphone disabled. One clearly marked switch in the hallway turns it off completely for your stay.
- When you message or book, we use your details only to arrange and look after your stay.
Who we are
Sabai Pafos, based in Pafos, Cyprus, is the data controller for the information described here. For anything to do with your data, email hello@sabaipafos.cy and a real person will answer.
When you get in touch
If you message us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, your contact details, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use this only to reply and to arrange your stay, never for marketing. We keep it while we are in touch and for a reasonable time afterwards, then remove it.
When you book
Bookings are made through Airbnb, Booking.com or Flatio, who handle your payment and data under their own privacy policies. They pass us what we need to host you: usually your name, your dates, and a way to reach you. We use it only for your stay and the records we are required to keep.
The apartment's sensors
The apartment uses presence detection and door and window contacts to run the air conditioning and a few small comforts, so cooling follows you and pauses when a window is open. This is for your comfort, for energy efficiency, and to look after the property.
Inside the apartment there are no cameras and no microphones. The system does not record, watch, listen, or build a profile of you. The sensors register only momentary signals (a room is in use, a window is open), which are used to trigger an action and kept only as briefly as needed to run the apartment. We rely on our legitimate interest in a comfortable, efficient, well-kept home; if anything about this is unclear, just ask.
At the front door there is a Ring doorbell camera. Its microphone is disabled, so it never listens. And it is entirely yours to control: if you would rather it saw nothing at all, press the clearly marked “Ring” switch in the hallway and it powers off completely for the rest of your stay. You will see the light around the doorbell go off. We would just gently ask that you switch it back on when you leave.
This website
The site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare. We set no analytics or tracking cookies. Our host may process basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the site securely and keep it online, standard for any website.
A few parts of the site fetch live information as the page loads: the map tiles come from Esri, the weather from Open-Meteo, and the pool temperature and availability calendar from our own automation service. Like any web server, these see your IP address when your browser asks them for that data, and nothing more. None of them set cookies, and we send them nothing about you.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to host you: the booking platform you used, and the trusted services that help us run the stay and this site. We never sell your data, and we share it otherwise only when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Just email hello@sabaipafos.cy. If you are ever unhappy with how we have handled it, you can also contact the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page. Last updated September 2026.
